The FW-1884 is a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) and Audio / Midi interface that is connected up to a computer via Firewire. It's a great, all rounder for a computer recording studio, and offers a vast array of features. It's got 18 inputs, records at 24/96 and it's control surface gives instant access to software transport controls in Cubase, Logic & other programs.
It also supports surround output, has a dedicated headphone output for monitoring, and can be expanded if need be with extra control strips for larger projects.
